This project involved modernizing a beloved Maharashtrian eatery while preserving its rich legacy. The space had to seamlessly accommodate multiple functions — a sweetmeats and farsan outlet, a dine-in area, and a takeaway section — all within a linear layout that experiences heavy footfall. Additionally, enhancing seating capacity and ensuring easy maintenance were key priorities. To achieve this, the space was strategically divided into functional zones, with careful consideration given to materiality inspired by Maharashtra’s architectural heritage.
